How long does it take?

Effective treatment requires one injection into each of five points between and above the eyebrows. Although office visit times vary, the procedure generally takes 10 to 20 minutes. Your healthcare professional will determine the exact placement of each injection to get results that are right for you.

There should be little to no down time after your treatment.

Nuceiva™

NUCEIVA™ is Canada’s newest and most advanced neuromodulator. NUCEIVA® temporarily relaxes specific muscles by blocking nerve impulses, just the same way BOTOX does.

Why not just use BOTOX?

The most exciting thing about NUCEIVA™, and the reason you may want to try it out is that the price is cheaper than BOTOX® treatment.

NUCEIVA™ is almost the same as Botox® treatment since both are extracted from the same type of bacteria. Botox® is basically a neuromodulator and NUCEIVA™ works on the same principle to smooth out the creases in the face. Botox® is an established brand and is not the name of the standard neurotoxin drug. For example, LG and Samsung are two different companies producing the same type of TV, similarly, NUCEIVA™ and Botox® are two different neurotoxin brands.

Can I switch from BOTOX or Dysport, to NUCIEVA?

Although all the drugs used for aesthetic treatments contain the same formula, the safety and effectiveness profile for NUCEIVA™ is similar to that of Botox®. Therefore, the injectable can be substituted for one another.  Those who have had Botox® injections in the past can also switch to NUCEIVA™ now because they are essentially the same treatments.

Juvéderm Fillers

It can also be used to enhance facial features such as your lips and cheeks for added fullness and definition with a natural look.

Wrinkle Correction with Juvederm Volift or Ultra XC Plus

Wrinkles of the lower face are common and bothersome to many people. We frequently address these wrinkles and loss of fullness by using an injectable filler. In this type of treatment, a small needle (about the size of an eyelash) is slid up under the wrinkle or into the lip. As the needle is withdrawn, the filler is injected under the skin.

These fillers are made of a substance called Hylauronic acid. It is a lab-made substance, which is similar to human collagen. It does not come from any animal, unlike ‘Collagen’ brand and no skin testing is required. It lasts four to seven months for most individuals. Some individuals prefer dramatic changes; others prefer subtle changes. The beauty of this type of treatment is that it is tailored to the client’s specific desires.

Before a treatment:

• Clients may opt to have a thin layer of freezing gel if there is no history of allergies.
• Pre treat the wrinkles with a very thick application of freezing gel if there is no history of allergies. It is important to apply this freezing thickly - like a strip of toothpaste – one hour before the scheduled appointment.
• If lips are to be treated, one can try using the topical freezing; however, an injected freezing may be necessary.
• Bring along some cover-up makeup if desired.

During a treatment:

• The freezing gel will be removed.
• The needle will be placed into the wrinkle or lip and the filler injected.
• Redness overlying the wrinkle will develop immediately - make up can be applied after the treatment.
• Swelling overlying the treated wrinkle will develop and will persist for one to two days. If the lip border is treated, swelling will be more noticeable, and will persist for three to five days. If the pink of the lip is treated, swelling is often highly noticeable by the end of treatment, and will last for up to a full week. Cold packs may be used to reduce this swelling.
• Bruising is an uncommon development, but can happen during the treatment - make up can be used immediately after the treatment.

After a treatment:

• It is expected that the region will be red and swollen. Makeup may be used if desired.
• Cold packs may be used to address the swelling. Do not use ice.
• Handle the area gently for the first week, as it may be tender. Aggressive handling can result in swelling and displacing the filler.
• It is expected that the filler will be ‘feel-able’ under the skin. There may be a degree of irregularity that can be felt. However, the skin should appear smooth after the swelling goes down.
• If there is any ‘lumpiness’ to see after the swelling is gone, it can be simply and gently smoothed away with careful massage.
• If any difficulties arise, please contact the clinic.

TeoSyal® Filler

Teosyal® is a new range of “100% hyaluronic acid based”, wrinkle filling products. These products are highly biocompatible and are slowly absorbed. Teosyal® can be injected into the entire face.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural sugar-based gel produced in the skin and connective tissues where molecules bind to water skin. It is used as a cosmetic filler due its ability to hydrate and firm the skin’s structure. Naturally present in the skin, hyaluronic acid preserves moisture levels in the skin and boosts tone. It is a powerful moisturizing agent.

The quantity of hyaluronic acid in the dermis decreases with age. As a result, the skin dries out and becomes fragile, and the first wrinkles appear. The tissues progressively sag and the face becomes hollow.

Injected into the dermis, Teosyal® effectively alleviates this hyaluronic acid deficiency, due to its high hyaluronic acid concentration.

Volumizers

ULTRA DEEP & ULTIMATE 
One of the most obvious signs of aging that patients notice is volume loss, which makes the volumizing dermal fillers crucial for an injectors' “expert toolbox.” The Teosyal volumizers are used for both volume creation and volume recovery in patients experiencing volume loss in areas such as the cheekbones, chin, jawline and temples. Using subcutaneous or pre-periosteum injection depths, the volumizers can redefine facial outlines, fill deep wrinkles on thick skin and sculpt the facial contour.

Enhancers

REDENSITY [I] 

Designed to slow the early signs of aging and give the skin a much-needed boost, enhancers will leave your patients feeling refreshed and hydrated. Teosyal’s Enhancer, Redensity [I], is made up of non-cross linked HA and designed to nourish the skin from within and restore the density of the face, neck and neckline. Redensity [I] is injected at the superficial to mid-dermis level and requires a protocol treatment of 3 sessions at 3-week intervals to gain optimal results.

Essentials

DEEP LINES & GLOBAL ACTION
The Teosyal essentials are Deep Lines and Global Action, which target key patient concerns such as the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, as well as perioral and glabella wrinkles. Deep Lines will target highly pronounced wrinkles and will be injected in the deep dermis, whereas Global Action will focus on “simplified filling” of moderately pronounced wrinkles in the mid-dermis.

KISS & REDENSITY [II]
Recognizing that specific areas of the face are more difficult to treat successfully with dermal filler, Teosyal has developed two types of fillers that treat specific areas only. Both Teosyal Kiss and Redensity [II] have been specifically designed to treat one key area of the face while providing ease of use to the injector. Teosyal Kiss is specifically adapted to the mobility of the lips and offers a smoother injection with optimal control, while Redensity [II] is particularly adapted to the fragile and challenging under eye circles area.
